B-17 Flying Fortress

Along with the P-51 mustang, the B-17 was one of the most influential bombers in World War II. It has long been one of my favorite planes from the era.

Sheldon awesome set man no complaints thanks for putting this together . To anyone complaining about directions being “too big” to download or anyone saying this won’t go together #1 learn how to use a computer it’s not that hard #2 learn how to build. It’s labeled as a difficult build so going into it anyone who doesn’t know put together legos don’t start... you’ll probably end up not being able to build it and blaming Sheldon. This was one of the easier large scale custom LEGO kits I’ve ever put together so not sure what issues people were having but for anyone buying in the future I highly recommend this kit.

I was able to print some of the pages of the B-17- however my printer malfunctioned, so I was only able to complete 4 pages. How can I get the complete set, so I can get this printed. Not sure why it isn't available

You're right, the wings were difficult to put on and didn't stay very well. I have altered the instructions and sent pieces to you to fit the alteration. On my model at home, it makes the wings much easier to put on and not fall off when played with. (Version 3 of the set)

Is this even possible to put ttogether. I am the adult and it appears the wings are too heavy ffor the body. No matter which way we try to attach them , pieces fall apart immediately. This is absolutely ridiculous.

I am very sorry that you feel bad about the set.

The instructions are 36MB in a .PDF format on a CD, I'm not sure how I could make them smaller, although I am open to it if you know of a way.

When I send pieces out, they are generally put together (for example, all the Light Bluish Gray Plates 2 x 4 will be in a pile together) if they fit, and if not, then they are usually put in a separate bag.

This set is built of more that 1100 pieces and should probably not be bought for kids unless they are experienced in putting sets like this together.

Very disappointed. Spent a LOT of $ for no directions they are on a disk that can't be downloaded because the file is so big. The bags are not labeled so you spend time searching and searching for 1 piece. Total waste of $. This will end up never getting put together I can see it now

My dad was a left waist gunner on the B-17 names Outhouse Mouse. I'm going to build this just because I like working with Lego.
